On Friday, October 15, 2010, Pav and I hit up the Nada Fighting Festival with Dan in one of the remote quarters of Himeji.  The festival begins in the early afternoon and runs into the evening.  In short, it basically consists of many men in diaper-esque-cotton-thongs hoisting shrines in the air, through the streets and tipping them onto competitors shrines.  The ‘arena’ was packed and we were fortunate enough to be lifted from the crowds by a wealthy — and drunk — Japanese man who was generous enough to share his reserved seating section with us.
